Volunteers who take
their special pets to facilities
for the purpose of being pet
and socializing with the recipients
are performing animal assisted
activities.

Animal assisted activities
provide many benefits including
better health, spirit,
and involvement and your pet
will enjoy the extra attention!

R.E.A.D. Reading Education
Assistance Dogs Program

In collaboration with area Public Libraries,
we are implementing
a reading program to assist in
improving a child’s reading skills using
dog participants as companions.

In The Future

Therapeutic Riding Program

In addition, we plan to offer a
therapeutic riding program offering its
recipients the opportunity to enhance
their emotional, physical and psychological
development through the use of the
horse.

The purpose of the organization is to
offer animal assisted activity services in La Crescent and surrounding communities.
Our volunteers and animal ambassadors are
dedicated to producing lasting memories.

Our services are offered to many facilities and programs:
- Nursing Homes
- Assisted Living Facilities
- Foster Homes
- Youth Groups
- Daycare Programs
- Preschools
- Disabled
- Hospitals

Program is a non profit 501(c)(3) organization
and is sponsored through the La Crescent Area
Healthy Community Partnership.
